Consignor Contract

By consigning with A Second Story, LLC, the Consignor certifies that they possess legal title and rightful ownership of all presented items, guaranteeing the absolute authenticity of all luxury, designer, or branded goods. Final pricing for all consigned property is determined exclusively at the discretion of the Store, and no specific sales price is guaranteed. The Store retains the absolute authority to adjust, markdown, or reduce the initial asking price of any item at any time to facilitate a successful sale.

Upon the successful sale of an item, the Consignor may choose to receive either 55% of the final selling price in store “trade” credit for merchandise purchases at any location, or 45% of the final selling price in cash or check, subject to a nominal $0.90 promotional handling fee per item. Payouts are processed and available daily at our store locations as soon as an item is marked sold in our system. Consignors are welcome to visit our location, call, or email the store at any time to check their active account balance.

Items remaining unsold at the conclusion of the designated consignment period will automatically be donated to a local non-profit organization, and the Consignor is entitled to receive the official tax donation receipt. With management permission, items originally priced above $50.00 may be reclaimed by the Consignor for a $5.00 retrieval fee per item, provided all retrieval requests and physical pick-ups are finalized within 60 days of the original intake date. Consignors must thoroughly inspect all merchandise to ensure items are clean and free of visible defects, stains, chips, or flaws prior to intake; the Store reserves the absolute right to pull from inventory and donate any items later found to have unnoticeable damage or active product recalls. Any items discovered to be counterfeit will not be sold and will either be destroyed or returned to the Consignor upon payment of a $50.00 processing and authentication fee.
